This practical module teaches you how to use essential office tools in a smart and connected way. You will work with documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and databases as part of one integrated skillset to solve real tasks and improve your digital confidence.
You will not just learn where the buttons are. You will understand how to use different tools together, whether on a computer, a phone, or in the cloud, and how to apply them in real situations at work or school.
The module begins with a simple and clear introduction to computers and how they work. You will learn the basics of using a system, creating folders, managing files, and understanding what an operating system does. This helps everyone start from the same place, even if you have never used a computer seriously before.
What you will learn:
- How to write clear and well-structured documents
- How to work with numbers and create charts in spreadsheets
- How to build a simple presentation with strong visuals and message
- How to create and manage small databases
- How to move between LibreOffice, Microsoft Office, and Google tools
- How to save and access your work from any device
- How to document your learning using Obsidian and GitHub Web
- The basic parts of a computer and how to use the operating system
How we teach:
We work through real projects. Each week, you will complete something useful: a budget, a report, a slide show, or a small system to manage information. You will build habits that matter in daily life and in your job.
You will work in teams, write down your process, and receive comments on your progress through your GitHub wiki, just like in a real work setting.
Requirements:
- Basic reading and writing skills
- A personal laptop for practice at home
- Motivation to learn and improve step by step
